More and more laid off workers in America are looking for ways to earn an income with any of the Stay at Home Jobs that are available. There are some that will take an investment like the selling of certain merchandise, but others in the service industry require only your time and energy.

There are many doctors’ offices that have for years outsourced their billing. This job can be done at home, but acquiring clients will take pounding the pavement. A good place to start is with your own doctor.  See if there is some part of their paper work that they would give you a chance to do for them.  Another popular at home job has been the making of crafts. These are then sold at the many flea markets around the nation. This too requires the person to leave their home.

The internet has made it possible to not only work at home but have all activities associated with your online business to actually take place at home. Online stay at home jobs include ghost writing, copywriter, social book marking, online research assistant, article posting, comment postings, article marketing, directory posting, being a virtual assistant, Blog commenting to name a few, or even to becoming a webmaster yourself,.

All of these involve using a computer and can be done without ever leaving the privacy and security of your home. A person can even receive a payment online from one of the many different payment companies like PayPal and Xoom or directly into your personal account at a bank.

The opportunities are out there for those that want to work. There are 2 major obstacles to this line of work. One is the pay is not that much and personal discipline is needed to get the jobs done on time every time. Being your own boss does mean you get to pick your own hours, but this also means if you are not online working, you are not making any money.
